The Company:?
My client, a leading professional services firm is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join their Sales and Marketing Team to support the team in their new business acquisition in the ThamesValley, M4 Corridor area. The role will form part of the South Sales Team, helping to drive business forward, realise growth potential and focus on key target clients to broaden the firms current client portfolio.

The Responsibilities:
- Drive new business initiatives to win and retain clients and opportunities.
- Ensure a proactive approach to identifying and targeting potential new clients in the area.
- Manage a portfolio of regionally based corporate ?targets? to drive relationships, create opportunities and increase revenue
- Work on a diverse portfolio of market key accounts including mature, investment and growth opportunities.
- Act as main point of contact for the client and develop strong relationships within target businesses to secure new business and revenue for the firm.
- Identify and collate information on new client issues through primary meetings.
- Coordinate client relationship events and facilitate expansion of points of contact between client and targets.
- Work with the regional and sector leads to identify market opportunities and get them to market, supported by the existing sales and marketing function.
- Host internal sales meetings.
- Work with and across functions, and function partners to enhance sales efforts.
- Follow up campaigns in a structured way, making calls to relevant organisation with a view to secure meetings, developing and delivering a contact plan for those targets, creating opportunities for the professional delivery staff.
- Boost sales conversion by developing sales processes, pricing, contracting, and negotiation to win work across multiple channels.
- Coach the wider team in sales practising and sales cycles and harness these to support business development activities

The Candidate:
- Degree educated.
- Proven sales, business development and client relationship management in the region is essential.
- Excellent influencing, communication and presentation skills.
- Sound knowledge of professional services organisations.
- Extensive relevant experience of sales or a client-facing professional role
